Treasures of the Vietnamese Nguyen Dynasty

Treasures of the Vietnamese Nguyen Dynasty
The Nguyen Dynasty (1802~1945), the last Vietnamese dynasty, transformed Vietnam's borders into those of what is now
present-day Vietnam. It also relocated its capital city from Hanoi, situated in the northern part of Vietnam, to Hue, in the
central part, to unite the cultures of the North and the South by including the South in the Confucian cultural sphere.
This special exhibition features relics and artifacts of the Nguyen dynasty and shows photographs and videos of the historical
places in Hue. Despite the considerable geographical distance between Vietnam and Korea, the exhibition reveals the shared
culture of the two countries. Furthermore, the exhibition offers the visitors insights into the history and culture of Korea

through a pan-Asian perspective.
