This limousine which was used by Empress Consort Sunjeong was produced by Daimler, UK, and is probably a 1914 model. It features 7 seats, 20 horsepower, a four-cylinder engine and displacement of 3,309cc. Though smaller in size, the empress' vehicle is of a better shape and decoration than the Emperor’s.
The body of the limousine is made of lacquered wood and the interior is covered with plum blossom patterned silk and equipped with foldable passenger seats. As the oldest surviving automobile in Korea, this vehicle significantly contributes to studies on the history of Korean automobiles and Korean Imperial life. It is also one of the last three surviving models of this kind in the world.
